In Goddess, the 35-year-old Dublin-born singer plays James, an oceanographer who lives in an idyllic Tasmanian farmhouse with his wife, Elspeth (Kelly), and their rambunctious twin sons. But James is away for long stretches saving the whales in Antarctica, so Elspeth installs a webcam to keep in contact. Problem is, she can never reach him on his boat, so instead begins to perform little musical numbers for her own amusement. By chance, these go viral and she is hired to front a major new advertising campaign. This takes her away from home; a nanny is hired; and the marriage comes under threat. James, left alone with the kids and the nanny, almost falls for the latter.

Publiée le 16 déc. 2012 Ronan Keating shares about the process filming the music videos for his latest album, Fires, and names Kanye West as one person he will like to work with because they are worlds apart and people would not expect a collaboration. Keating says that after the popularity of female solo artistes the last few years, he sees boy bands and girl bands rising up in popularity and names One Direction, The Wanted, and The Collective as those leading the emergence of such bands.
"Calcutta, 1916. Un soldat anglais fuit dans les ombres nocturnes de la Cité des palais. Au creux de ses bras, il abrite des jumeaux de quelques jours qu'il vient d'arracher à un mystérieux criminel. Confiés à leur grand-mère, les jumeaux, un garçon et une fille, sont séparés. Sheere reste avec sa grand-mère, Ben est confié à un orphelinat. Après le premier single « Fires » issu de l’album du même nom (à télécharger sur iTunes), Ronan Keating dévoile à présent le nom de son deuxième single : « Wasted Light ».
Vous ne le savez peut-être pas mais l’artiste irlandais remporte un franc succès en Grande-Bretagne, en Allemagne mais aussi en Australie puisqu’il a été là-bas juré de l’émission X-Factor.
Après l’annonce du choix de single, sans perdre une minute, Ronan a mis en ligne le clip de « Wasted Light ».
Une très belle vidéo qui mélange des images d’animation avec Ronan Keating racontant son histoire. En résumé, un clip rempli de poésie et de romantisme qui plaira sans doute à ses fans très fidèles depuis son passé avec l’ex-boy band Boyzone dont il était le leader.
Cependant, pour le voir sur scène, il faudra vous armer de patience ou bien vous diriger vers un de nos pays limitrophes, puisqu’il sera en tournée en 2013 mais malheureusement aucune date française n’a été planifiée (voir les autres dates sur son site officiel).

“It took me six years to figure out what I wanted to do musically, who I was as an artist,” says Keating. “Then 18 months ago, a light bulb went off. I made my decision: I was going to go back to my roots and make a pop record. And it happened very easily then, once I’ve made my decision.”
“So it’s just pop music,” the singer says simply. “Just turn the radio on and sing along … You’re reliving your youth again, through pop music.” For Keating, creating this album was also therapeutic: “I needed optimism, I needed hope. Fires will be released in early September and the feedback already from music industry insiders has been overwhelmingly positive
This is my first studio album in six years, so this is quite a big deal for me," he said. "I'm putting myself out there. It has been a while. I didn't feel I was ready for a studio album.
"I had writer's block, so I took my time. And then the time came when I felt I was ready, I started writing again. It's an anthemic pop album, it's not ballad-driven."
I haven't started writing songs because it's not fair on anyone involved. I have just let myself go (with the music). I'm not using any material that would be harmful or upsetting to anyone." You have to have tough skin. The people who love you, that's what matters." Ronan made his film debut in Goddess this year, a romantic comedy shot on location in New South Wales. And movie project number two is well advanced, but again is a new departure.
"It's called Rockpool and we begin shooting early next year after the tour. The cast is amazing. I can't say who is in it, but a very high profile female will play my wife in the film. It's a great script, it's hardcore and it's dark. A lot of people would cast me maybe in a love story or what have you, but it's not like that
2013 will be a busy year for Keating, between his X Factor commitments in Australia, a solo tour, the new movie and the Boyzone 20 year anniversary tour.
"It's going to be brilliant! I love it in Australia. They are great people and the show is fantastic. It's a pity it's so far away!
Please God it will be a big year for Boyzone. We're aiming to tour and make a record. Everybody is up for it."
The album is back to proper pop again', Keating said. 'I've been working with the guys behind Life Is A Rollercoaster again.
'I've been spending my time getting this album just right and I'm excited about people hearing it.'

The singer revealed that his marital difficulties had left him with writer's block, which he had to break down to write material for his new solo album, due out in August.
However, he denied the new record would be made up of break-up songs.
"Perhaps subconsciously it could happen but I'm not sitting there making an album with anger or pain or angst in that sense of what's happening in my life over the last year or two.
I have had a few years of not really being able to put pen to paper, so it's nice to let go and just write and it feels good to me.
