Ronan Keating signs off from radio show: 'I’m not crying, you’re crying'
Ronan Keating said he had ‘loved every minute’.

Radio presenter and singer Ronan Keating became emotional as he said farewell during his last Magic Radio breakfast show.
The Dublin-born star, who found fame in boyband Boyzone, announced last month that he would step down from the role to spend more time with his family.
During the broadcast, the 47-year-old treated listeners to a special performance of his hits Life Is A Rollercoaster and When You Say Nothing At All.,FAITH
Keating joined the London-based radio station in 2017 and co-hosted his breakfast show with Harriet Scott.
Signing off from the radio show, he said: “It’s actually hitting me now. No it really is. I can’t believe we lasted seven years. I can’t believe we were allowed to do this for seven years. It’s been so much fun.
“It’s all about you now Harriet, so good luck… and you have taught me so much. Honestly, you’re the radio legend, the DJ legend, and I have loved it.
“I’ve loved every minute that we’ve had, you’ve been amazing and a great mentor to me, Harriet. I have loved broadcasting the stories from the listeners over the years. I’m not crying, you’re crying.”
Addressing the listeners, he added: “It’s been amazing, thank you all so much for listening for the last seven years. I have loved every single morning.
“It’s been hard to get out of bed early but you guys have been worth it so thank you so much.”
As he finished the show, colleagues from Magic Radio and sister stations across parent company Bauer Media lined the corridors and applauded him as he exited the building.

Magic Breakfast co-host Ronan Keating is leaving the show after seven years on-air at the Bauer station.
Ronan made the announcement on the show this morning, saying he’s going to get back to concentrating on his music.
He said: “It’s been very difficult to come to this decision. I have loved every single minute and this has not been an easy decision at all.
“It was an honour to be in people’s homes, but I’ve missed doing the school run and waking up with my wife in the morning!”
He went on to thank all his producers and show team past and present and big up his co-host Harriet as a radio legend.
Here’s his full quote: “It’s been very difficult for me to come to this conclusion, and to make this decision. I wanted our listeners, our Magic Breakfast listeners and our Magic Radio listeners be the first to know. That after seven years and so many incredible shows, I’ve decided to stand down from Magic Breakfast at the end of July.
“I have loved every single minute, this has not been an easy decision at all. I came on board as you know [Harriet] for a year, maybe two and I’ve loved the job so much that I’ve stayed here for seven. We’ve had an amazing time and we’ve been through some incredibly emotional times with people at home. Those two years that the world changed. It was an honour to be able to be in people’s homes and communicate with them like we did.
“So yeah, although I won’t be waking the nation up anymore with you [Harriet], I look forward to, I guess reconnecting with what I did before this – you know getting back to my music and touring. Even though I’ve been doing it, trying to do both together has not been easy at times. And getting back to being with my family – you know doing school runs and those things that I’ve missed out on. Waking up with my wife in the morning, you know? I know it sounds ridiculous but it’s really important and I’ve missed that.
“I’m going to miss the team, I’m going to miss our incredible production team, led by the mighty Brian Murphy. Matt and Alex, and you know all our past producers and team here…
“What I’ve realised is how incredible it is to connect with people. The medium of radio is so powerful, more powerful than anything else in this modern age. And it’s been a real honour to broadcast and be considered a radio broadcaster. You and I [Harriet], they put us together. Who knew that this could work?! It’s been incredible. I’m going to miss you. It’d been an amazing seven years. You’ve taught me so much Harriet Scott, you’re a radio legend, and it has been an honour to broadcast with you.
“You’ve shown me how to do this and it’s been an honour, and I’m not leaving the Magic Radio family, just Magic Breakfast for me – it’s time for me to go. A massive thank you to everybody for the love you’ve shown me, the love you’ve shown this show for the last seven years. It’d been incredible.”
Following their mother Marie’s death in 1998 from breast cancer, the Keating family promised to try to provide all women and their families with vital information which could help them to prevent cancer or detect it at its earliest stages. Their collective aim was to “enlighten not frighten”. The Marie Keating Foundation is now a leading voice in cancer awareness and information for both men and women in Ireland

Niamh Noade, 14 ans, d'Irlande du Nord a époustouflé les juges avec
son interprétation de The Winner Takes It All d'ABBA .
Avant son audition, Niamh a révélé qu'elle jouait de la harpe et a expliqué
comment elle avait grandi entourée de musique. Elle a déclaré
"Il y a toujours de la musique dans notre maison avec moi jouant de
la harpe, ma petite sœur Molly jouant du bodhran, mon frère jouant
du banjo et mon père jouant de la flûte uilleann, de la guitare et du sifflet.
Il est ma plus grande inspiration. ."
Une Niamh nerveuse est ensuite montée sur scène, mais quelques secondes
seulement après le début de sa performance, Ronan a appuyé sur son buzzer,
se retournant pour l'adolescente, la présentatrice Emma Willis disant
à sa mère et à son père dans les coulisses qu'elle avait la chair de poule.

Ronan était clairement ému alors qu'il continuait à regarder la performance
les larmes aux yeux, disant ensuite à Niamh: "Wow, showstopper.
Mon moment préféré sur The Voice Kids jamais."
"C'était juste hypnotisant", a-t-il poursuivi, avant d'ajouter :
"J'avais les larmes aux yeux, c'était tellement émouvant, tellement
beau, je suis tellement fan."
L'entraîneur Pixie Lott, qui s'est également retourné aux côtés
de Danny Jones, a ensuite déclaré: "Le timing de votre chant était
tellement incroyable, c'était vraiment spécial."

Alors que Danny lui demandait qui étaient ses inspirations, une
fière Niamh a déclaré: "Eh bien, mon père est probablement mon inspiration. Il chante et il joue de la flûte uilleann et de la guitare."
Ronan, Pixie et Danny se sont ensuite battus pour Niamh, Ronan
lui disant : "C'est fou que tu aies choisi cette chanson parce qu'il y a
quelques semaines, j'ai eu une guitare et j'ai juste pensé que
Winner Takes it All serait aussi beau que une ballade magnifique
et simple comme celle-ci.
J'en ai donc une version avec guitare et voix, très similaire
à ce que vous venez de faire.
Je pense que quelque chose de grand et de beau va
se produire à la suite de cela.
Pixie a alors qualifié sa performance de "magique,
chic et élégante", comme elle l'a dit à Niamh, le public était
dans la paume de sa main.
Cependant, c'est Ronan que Niamh a finalement choisi.
